In Addition to its Rikiki Hard Drive and 12big Rack Network Storage, LaCie also added another storage device capable of storing up to 4TB of data. The LaCie 2Big is a USB 3.0 compatible storage device which is also the industry’s first dual hard disk RAID storage solution based on the new SuperSpeed USB (3.0) standard.
It is a dual-disk RAID 0/1 storage solution which is powered by Symwave’s USB 3.0 standard-compliant dual SATA and RAID bridge controller, the storage device comes bundled with an award-winning backup software for both Mac and PC users. It features a 275MB/s read transfer speed and will be available in early 2010 and will be showcased at CES 2010.
